The Sports Center “Economist” of KNEU was established in 2002 as an independent unit from the Department of Physical Training. It incorporates a stadium with two football fields, two tennis courts, a swimming pool, gymnasiums with the latest equipment, a gymnasium for different games, an aerobics studio, a boxing studio, a wrestling studio, and a rehabilitation center.

The main goal of the Fitness Center “Economist” is to provide excellent material recourses at the university with the aim of enabling students to achieve good sports results and to provide good facilities for physical training classes. The Center strives to increase the interest of students and teaching staff in health and fitness.

It has become a tradition at the university to hold sports and athletics meeting in 12 kinds of sports with the participation of students and teaching staff.

The Sports Center includes teams from the sports of basketball, football, badminton, volleyball, aerobics, boxing, powerlifting, swimming, athletics and gymnastics.

The students of KNEU took part in different sports competitions. Among the champions of the university is a badminton team – a twice champion of Ukraine among the teams of the High league (2000 & 2003), a member of the Cup of European Champions, a member of two world championships among students. Basketball, badminton and football teams of KNEU competed successfully at the 7th  Summer Sports Competitions among the universities of Ukraine in 2005 (badminton and basketball team took the third place). The football team of KNEU took second place in the championship among the universities of Ukraine (24 teams took part in the competition).
