The Preparatory Department offers enrolment for:
Preparatory Program (PD):
- Full time – 50 students
- Part time – 50 students
Preparatory courses:
- 8-month – 570 students
- 4-month – 260 students
- Correspondence program– 200 students
Full time students of the Preparatory Program study for two semesters (15 weeks each) from November 15;
Part-time students – from October 1, two semesters (19 weeks each)
Preparatory Courses:
• 8-month courses - from October 1;
• 4-month courses - from February 1 – twice a week till the end of May;
• Correspondence programs– start on October 1 and last till the end of May. Students have classes once a month (last week of each month).
To apply for the full-time program, students must produce a high school diploma or a college diploma. About 85% of the students of the full time program and 70% of the part time program enter the University.
Schoolchildren of the 10th and 11th forms and applicants with a high school diploma or a college diploma are admitted to the preparatory courses.
Applicants are admitted to the programs on a commercial basis. The University signs contracts with legal and physical persons. To be considered for enrolment the completed application and all required materials (listed below) must be received by the Preparatory Department: a completed application, official transcripts from the college or school attended, 6 photos (3x4), a high school diploma or a college diploma for the applicants with secondary education, medical certificate (form № 086/y). Passport or military card are submitted personally.
Preparatory department offers students thorough training in the subjects they want to be examined in when entering the University; Ukrainian and Ukrainian literature, Mathematics, Economic and Social Geography, History of Ukraine and World History of the 20th century, Basics of Economics, Basics of Law, and Foreign languages.
The students of all programs and courses are provided with the necessary teaching materials which take into consideration the demands to the entrance exams in KNEU. Lectures and seminars are delivered by highly-qualified teaching staff of the university.
About 70% of the students of the Preparatory Department are admitted to different faculties of KNEU and other higher educational establishments
Many former graduates of the Preparatory Department have become prominent scientists-economists. Many of them are candidates of sciences, associate professors, doctors of sciences, and professors. Among them are D.Lukyanenko, doctor of economic sciences, professor, head of the department of international management and O.Mozgovyy, doctor of economic sciences, professor, head of the department of international finance, who also took the post of the Head of the State Commission of Stock Market and Securities.
